Two convicted of murder in February shooting

A Kern County jury Wednesday convicted Samuel Bryant and Joseph Hendrix of murder, attempted murder and of committing their crimes as members of the West Side Crips gang.
The case involved a Feb. 16 shooting in the 3000 block of South Chester Avenue that killed Jacob Ramirez and injured Manuel Gomez. Sentencing for Bryant and Hendrix is scheduled for Jan. 11.
Deputy District Attorney Ken Russell prosecuted the case.
