One killed in Hayes Street shooting

At 9:51 p.m. Wednesday, Bakersfield police were dispatched to the 200 block of Hayes Street for a report of gunshots and a victim of a shooting.
Officers found a man who'd been shot who died at the scene. He was later identified as Earnest Ramon Dixon, 29, of Bakersfield.
Dixon was shot in the front yard of a residence. Neighbors reported hearing five to seven gunshots.
No witnesses to the shooting have been found and there is no known suspect information at this time. It's unknown if the shooting is gang-related.
