On Monday, deputies finished an investigation that led to the seizure of 13 pounds of processed marijuana and $8,789 in cash.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Jorge Obiso, 27, of Bakersfield, at Union and Ming avenues. Obiso did not have a valid driver's license, and deputies searched his car and found thousands of dollars in cash, a hotel key and a hotel receipt hidden in the dash area of his car.
Deputies went to the Easy 8 Motel on Buck Owens Boulevard, searched the room listed on the receipt and found the marijuana.
Obiso was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sales and other offenses.
