Several arrests made in Rexland Park area

Over the past few months, deputies have responded to several crimes of violence in the Rexland Park area involving suspected gang members and associates.
The following have been arrested: a 16-year-old Nov. 30 on suspicion of being a minor in possession of a stun gun, dissuading a victim from testifying and participation in a criminal street gang; Jose Cota, 20, was arrested Dec. 4 on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and participation in a criminal street gang; a 17-year-old was arrested Dec. 4 on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and participation in a criminal street gang; Miguel Perez, 18, was arrested Dec. 4 on suspicion of evading a peace officer, resisting arrest, driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle.
