B.com staff blogs get a new look, new commenting tools
By B.COM STAFF
Did you find something a little wacky with the staff blogs earlier today? Several of you called and emailed, thinking we'd blocked you from commenting. That wasn't the case though.
Online now, you'll see our redesigned staff blogs. This morning was the switch-over, so there were a few hours where all commenting was disabled, sorry about that.
The redesigned staff blogs are part of the ongoing changes to the community conversation at Bakersfield.com.
We freshened up the look and migrated them to different platform, which allows you to comment through our Disqus commenting tools.
Through months of community meet-ups you let us know that you preferred that commenting method which allows you to 'Like' and reply to specific comments.
In the works still are our revised Terms of Use and on new discussion forums. You can read more about the upcoming changes at http://tinyurl.com/BakoNewOnlinePlan.
A big round of applause goes to our developers and designers who made this happen: Christine Benavente, Chris Ladd, Mike Cornett, and Spencer Hersom.
Let us know what you think.
