Artistic views of the Kern Power Plant

You just knew that when PG&E announced plans to demolish the old Kern Power Plant in northwest Bakersfield that there'd be a scramble to document a structure that's become something of an eyesore.
Case in point is Richmond, Calif., photographer Jonathan Haeber, who posted two photos taken from the inside the Kern Power Plant.
What makes these images interesting is the way the lighting adds an element of life to old and unsused equipment painted in earthtones.
We've posted one here but encourage you to visit Haeber's Flickr page for the other Kern Power Plant shot, as well as many other arresting images.
