Walk to support multiple sclerosis research and services, and have Halloween fun at Walk MS: Bakersfield 2012 on Saturday at Yokuts Park.
The walk will follow a 1.5- or 3-mile trail along the Kern River Bike Path. Along the route and at the finish line will be Halloween-themed activities. Food from Rubio's, Santa Barbara Pizza and Chicken, and RJ's Bar and Grill will be provided.
The festival area will also include live music from the band No Limit, massage therapists, a drawing with prizes including admission to SeaWorld and cruises in San Francisco, children's games and a costume contest.
Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., with the opening ceremony starting at 9 a.m., and the walk starting at 9:30 a.m.

Kern Health System's CEO will chair Kern County's 2013 March of Dimes -- March for Babies event, according to a news release.
Doug Hayward has committed to raise $40,000 in "new revenue" for the regional chapter, the news release said.
"Through our commitment to March for Babies, we will be actively involved in raising awareness and vital revenue to help the March of Dimes prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality," Hayward said in the news release.
The event's kick-off meeting is Friday and the March for Babies will be held April 13 at Liberty Park in Bakersfield.
