Dr. Ravi Patel, managing partner and medical director of the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center, talked about cancer care, trends and prevention on "First Look with Scott Cox" Tuesday.
"A lot of it is preventable, that's the sad part," Patel said of cancer. "We're all rushing to treat people with cancer once they got it, but if we prevent it, we're much ahead of the game."
He talked with Richard Beene, president and CEO of The Californian, who noted "there's not a family in the world that hasn't been affected" by cancer in some way.
