Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese , from Matt Allen, a Troy, Ohio, firefighter. He cooks at the firehouse and insists that "bacon makes everything better."
Cappuccino , created by Chad Scott, a Modesto native who is a visiting lecturer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Scott and his wife drank a lot of coffee while pursuing Ph.Ds. Frito-Lay points out these chips do not contain caffeine.
Wavy Mango Salsa , from Julia Stanley-Metz, an event planner in Sacramento. She said the flavor was inspired by the salsa her husband makes every week for Taco Tuesday. (A Facebook comment said the chips tasted like Fruity Pebbles cereal.)
Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger , created by Meneko Spigner McBeth, a registered nurse at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She said she's loved sushi since her grandmother handmade it for her as a child.
Voting will end Oct. 18. The chip creator who earns the most votes will win a $1 million prize, or 1 percent of the net sales of the flavor from July 1, 2014, through July 1, 2015. Votes can be cast on Facebook, Vine, via text, Twitter and Instagram. The other three finalists will win $50,000.

Then, exotic super fruits such as açaà and goji berries were trendy, now interest is growing in local and seasonal fruits. Then, Americans were looking for quick bursts of energy from guarana and caffeine. Now they're looking for the sustained energy of natural sources of protein and fiber such as lean meat and whole grains."
