Walk down the aisle in style, for less, while helping someone less fortunate. That's what Brides for a Cause is all about. Their wedding dress sales event this weekend helps fund Wish Upon a Wedding, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing weddings and vow renewals for those with terminal illness and other life-altering circumstances.
"We carry a lot of designer dresses," said Erin Scharf, event coordinator and owner/founder of Brides for a Cause. "We'll have a huge section of just designer dresses, including Vera Wang, Melissa Sweet, Jasmine Couture and Maggie Sottero, among others."

Wish Upon A Wedding was founded in January 2010 by Liz Guthrie. The Northern California and Southern California chapters recently granted weddings to two couples, where both brides had breast cancer. The organization is currently looking for Central California wish recipients in need of a dream wedding. Individuals who are faced with life-threatening illnesses are encouraged to apply for a wish by visiting www.wishuponawedding.org
