JACOB SCHULER has won a 2013 Serving Others award at Dollar General for his volunteer work at the Bakersfield Homeless Center. Schuler works at Dollar General’s Lebec distribution center. He coordinates and promotes a local food and toy drive to benefit the shelter, where he also manages volunteers serving hot dinners. He also leads the Lebec distribution center’s donation programs. The company was planning to present the homeless center a $2,500 grant on Schuler’s behalf.
