ROBERT J. BEEHLER has been tapped to join Adventist Health’s corporate new market development team. Beehler, who has served as president and CEO of San Joaquin Community Hospital, is being replaced on an interim basis by SCOTT REINER, the medical center’s chairman.

Beehler is to focus on hospital mergers and acquisitions. Under his leadership, San Joaquin Community has grown substantially over the last 10 years, adding among other things the new AIS Cancer Center.
Reiner, a nurse by training, is executive vice president and chief operating officer for Adventist Health. He has been at the corporate office since 2007; before that he was president and CEO of 515-bed Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Reiner earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Pacific Union College in Angwin, and a master’s degree in health administration at Cal State Northridge.
