JOHN B. STARK has been promoted to become associate dean of Cal State Bakersfield’s School of Business & Public Administration. Stark has worked at the university for 13 years in various leadership positions, including chairman of the Department of Management & Marketing and chairman of the Academic Senate. He returned to academia in 2000 after working for 16 years in the private and public sectors. He earned a doctorate in business administration at the University of Missouri at Columbia. His primary areas of instruction have been organizational behavior, small business management and managerial skills. He consults for local businesses in the areas of strategic planning and managerial skills development.
