PEOPLE IN BUSINESS: Bakersfield Police Department

The Bakersfield Police Department recently announced a number of promotions and special honors.
JOHN JAMISON was named detective of the year, KIM HALBWACHS dispatcher of the year. CHRISTOPHER MESSICK was honored with the Chief’s Commendation. Senior Officer PAUL YOON was named Officer of the Year and PAULA KITCHEN was recognized as Civilian Employee of the Year.
Promoted to lieutenant were JASON TOWNSEND, JASON MATSON and MELVIN JOHNSON.
Promoted to sergeant were JEFF SASO, SEAN MORPHIS, DENNIS EDDY, KEVIN FINDLEY, JEREMY BLAKEMORE, MARCELA GARCIA, BENTURA ­HERRERA, WILLIAM TOLER, MICHAEL CORONADO and DAVID COX.
Promoted to detective were PATRICK MARA, LOUIS WOOD, KEVIN FIDLER, ERIC SCHIMON, DENNIS PARK, KENNETH SPORER, DANIEL MCAFEE, DANIEL MCCLIVE, JOHNNY RAMIREZ and THEODORE KING.
Promoted to senior police officer were LYNN MARTINEZ, BRIAN LOONEY, NATHAN ANDERBERG, RANDALL MOE, PAUL BENDER, CHRIS FEOLA, JUSTIN LEWIS, JEFFREY MARTIN, NATHAN MCCAULEY and CHRIS BAGBY.
Special honors were awarded to police dispatcher BEN KITCHEN, police lab technician LISA WEDEKING-WHITE, senior police records clerk AARON ­MAYBERRY and transcribing typist AMANDA GONZALES.
