Zach Ewing and his unnatural love of all things sports came to The Californian in December 2007. He has covered high school sports ever since.

Ewing grew up in Albuquerque, N.M., hit his own athletic ceiling while participating in soccer, wrestling and tennis in high school, and then headed to the University of Missouri.
