Condors' Keetley loaned to AHL's Syracuse Crunch

Bakersfield goaltender Matt Keetley has been loaned to the Syracuse Crunch, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.
It is the first move to the AHL for a Condor this season.
The Ducks requested Keetley on Wednesday as both AHL goaltenders are with Anaheim due to injuries.
“He’s getting an opportunity and he deserves it,” Condors coach Matt O’Dette said. “Obviously we don’t like to lose him but it’s a reward for what he’s done for us.”
Keetley has appeared in 22 games this season for the Condors with a 6-13-1-1 record which includes a 42-save shutout performance on Nov. 2 in Alaska. His 2.76 goals-against average is 12th in the ECHL and his .916 save percentage is tied for sixth around the league.
“He’s played great for us and it shows the other guys it’s possible (to get called up),” O’Dette said.
With Keetley gone, Bryan Pitton will be in net for games against Colorado at Rabobank Arena on Friday and Saturday.
“This is his opportunity,” O’Dette said of Pitton, who has struggled must of the season.
Elsewhere, the league suspended Stockton forward Colten Hayes for two games for a hit from behind on the Condors’ Peter Boyd. The hit, on which no penalty was called, left Boyd unconscious for several minutes.
“He’s fully shut down right now,” O’Dette said of Boyd, who is sufferering from a concussion. “He’s one of the last guys we need out right now. He brings a lot to us.”
