A production problem has prevented the iPad edition of Saturday's The Bakersfield Californian from being updated properly this morning. Olive Software, which provides the iPad application, notified us today that a "catastrophic system failure" will prevent the company from updating the application today and possibly on Sunday, Nov. 18. We urge readers to access the HTML-5 version of the newspaper's e-Edition by logging into http://eedtion.bakersfield.com and entering their existing log-in and password information.
We will continue to provide updates to our readers as we gather more information from Olive about the extent of this outage. Once again, this only impacts the iPad edition of The Californian.
